Old Colony YMCA’s Annual Campaign Raises Historic $2.65 Million Brockton, Massachusetts – Old Colony YMCA raised $2.65 Million this fiscal year through its Annual Campaign, a record amount in its 135-year history. Critical to operations, these funds will be used to provide scholarships and financial aid to more than 50% of the children and families who receive child care or attend summer camp. “I am both humbled and amazed by the generosity of our community. Our Board members, staff, volunteers and supporters stepped up in a truly remarkable way and we can’t begin to express our appreciation for their support,” said Vincent Marturano, President & CEO.Raising $400,000 more than its intended goal, Old Colony YMCA will be better positioned to combat food insecurity, and offer additional child care, summer camp, and fun club scholarships. The Y will also grant free memberships and access to Y-Ability programs to children with developmental disabilities, as well as continue to meet basic needs and support families experiencing homelessness.“The success of this campaign will allow us to continue leading by example as we help those most vulnerable in our community,” said Marturano.As the largest provider of youth and family programs in the region, Old Colony YMCA never turns anyone away because of their inability to pay.
