Spin-a-thon

Old Colony YMCA is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Spin-a-thon fundraiser, now celebrating its 15th year! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at all seven Old Colony Y branches. We invite you to join us as we pedal for a purpose! You don’t have to be a spinner or YMCA member to participate. Join more than 800 YMCA members, donors, and community partners to make a difference in your local community!

About the Event

Over the past 14 years, the Spin-a-thon has brought together more than 7,000 riders and raised more than $2.7 million to support life-changing YMCA programs and services. This year, we aim to make an even greater impact! Here’s how Spin-a-thon works: Participants will ride for one hour either at home or at any of our seven locations in Brockton, East Bridgewater, Easton, Middleboro, Plymouth, Stoughton, and Taunton. Riders will raise funds and awareness for the Y’s impactful programs and services.

Making An Impact

Your generosity helps us make a measurable impact in our community. Here’s what Old Colony YMCA accomplished last year thanks to the funds raised from Spin-a-thon:

• Summer Camps: Old Colony Y granted more than $200,000 in summer camp scholarships, providing the magical summer camp experience to more than 600 children who otherwise would not be able to afford these opportunities.
   
• Food Security: Provided 5,000+ meals weekly to combat hunger in our community, serving more than 1,000 families.
   

• Health & Wellness: Supported 125 adults battling cancer through our no cost LIVESTRONG program.

Fundraise

The suggested fundraising commitment for each rider is $100. Once you register online, a personal fundraising page will automatically be created for you! Look for the email in your inbox after registration to claim your fundraising page. Every single dollar you raise will support individuals, children, and families in need throughout our local community.
