FAQs Can I visit the Y without a membership?While members can access the Y as many times as they want, we do offer opportunities for non-members to use our facility. We do offer guest passes and day passes, please call ahead before you visit as we may not offer these on certain days or times.If you participate in one of our programs like swim lessons, sport classes, or similar programs; you may enter our facility to attend your program or class. Do you have guest passes or a guest pass policy?Yes! Guests and day passes are welcomed based on capacity of the Y facility, programs, and classes.Individual: $10Family guest passes: $25 (can access KidZone)Outdoor Pool Family Rate: $40 (allows full access to all indoor & outdoor facilities)Please Note: All guests 18 and older must provide a valid Photo ID. Guests under 18:0-11 must be accompanied by a person 18 years or older to purchase passes and use the facilities Ages 12-17 may use the facility as long as an adult guardian and/or emergency contact is listed on the child’s account. Can I use my membership at other Ys?Yes! Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States through membership at your “home” YMCA (your home location is the facility that enrolled you as a member and that collects your membership dues). We offer this because we want to help you reach your health and wellness goals wherever you live, work or travel. We currently have a program called Nationwide where you can visit others Ys like ourselves if you have a membership at your home location. Simply bring you scan card and some sort of identification like a drivers license.Please Note: Depending on the frequency of visits, we may ask you to purchase a membership at Old Colony YMCA if you visits here outweigh your visits at your home YMCA. Does the Y have an App?Yes! We can be found on the app store or the google play store, or use the link below to download our app. Please note, at this time, we only offer our app to current members. We offer financial assistance for memberships called membership for all. Please contact our staff for our scholarship form. Applications must be submitted with copies of income verification. From there our team will review and let you know if you qualify.We also offer financial assistance for some programs like summer camp. You may be asked to fill out a quick form or provide additional information before your cancelation is finalized. Tax ID: 04-2125014 Do you offer Insurance Discounts or Insurance Memberships?Many insurance plans offer a fitness benefit reimbursement, discounts, or even specialized memberships for certain audiences. Please contact your health insurance provider for full details before reaching out to the Y to better understand your benefits and eligibility. How old do you have to be to use the Y?Ages 8 & 9: May use the building alongside an adult caregiver who is 18 years of age or olderAges 10 & 11: May use the building as long as an adult caregiver (aged 18 or older) is accessible within the buildingAges 12 and older may use the building independentlyAll ages must use the facility safely and according to the code of conduct at all times.Group Exercise classes may be taken by members who are developmentally ready to follow instruction safely and independently. We recommend the age of 15 years and older. Is there a dress code?Athletic wear is required. No jeans or other clothing that could injure members or damage equipment are allowed.Closed toed athletic footwear is required in all fitness facilities Do you allow the use of cell phones?Cell phones are allowed in fitness facilities but we ask that you abide by a reasonable expectation for the privacy of others. For example, no taking photos/videos of other members without consent, no phone conversations in public areas, and absolutely no use of cell phones and cameras in locker rooms and bathrooms.
