Holiday Happenings at the STARR Program

On Sunday, April 5th the Transition House/STARR Program held an Easter celebration for 12 youth in their program. Easter baskets were filled by staff which consisted of candy, snacks, school supplies and toiletries.

An Easter egg hunt was held with staff hiding eggs outside around the building. A visit from the Easter Bunny (Allison Tyler) was also on hand to add some extra fun to the day.

Prizes were awarded for eggs collected with the No. 1 prize being a chocolate Easter Bunny! Dinner of pork chops, macaroni and cheese, along with dessert was prepared by staff for all to enjoy.

Days prior to this Easter celebration, the youth decorated cut out Easter bunnies using their creative design talent.  These colorful bunnies were on display in the dining area for all to enjoy. They also made chocolate lollipops for themselves and to share with others.
