Preschool, Youth, Teen, & Adult Swim Lessons
Skip w/Parent (Ages 3 months-3 years)
This class is designed as a water orientation for children/parents to become more comfortable in a structured pool environment.
This class is for children who still have a fear of the water and who have at least taken our SKIP class. Children will learn the same skills as a PIKE W/PARENT class but there will be less emphasis on parent-child separation.
Pike (Ages 3 years-5 years)
This class helps children adjust to the water and develop independent movement. Full bubbles used to help children learn and maintain proper position in the water while swimming on their front and back. This class is for those with little/no swimming experience or has a fear of water. Simple safety rules will be introduced.
Eel (Ages 3 years-6 years)
This class is for children who are comfortable in the water with floatation devices but cannot yet swim the length of the pool. Child must be comfortable blowing bubbles/getting face wet. Children aim to swim without a bubble and perform kneeling dives.
Ray (Ages 3 years-6 years)
This class is designed for those children who can swim 15 feet independently, are comfortable with their faces in the water, and have demonstrated a proper back float. This class reviews and improves strokes on front, back, and side. Introduction to rotary breathing and breaststroke.
Starfish (Ages 6 years +)
This class is for any individual 6+ who has not taken swim lessons before. Perfect for those who are timid in the water or who cannot swim without support.
Polliwog (Ages 6 years-14 years)
Polliwog is a beginner class for children who are uncomfortable or inexperienced in swimming. This class will teach the basic skills including stroke work, floating, and kicking. This class may also be a continuation from previous levels. Various bubble sizes will be used.
Guppy (Ages 6 years-14 years)
Guppy is for children who are comfortable in the water and can swim 15-20 feet without a floatation device. This class is designed to get into the techniques of each stroke. Guppy builds off skills learned in POLLIWOG.
Minnow (Ages 6 years-14 years)
Minnow is for children who can swim 25 yards on front and back without a flotation device. This class focuses on improving stroke technique as well as boating and water safety. Swimmers will be introduced to the butterfly kick.
Fish/Flying Fish (Ages 6 years-14 years)
Fish is for children able to swim 50 yards of freestyle with proficient rotary breathing, sidestroke, backstroke, and breaststroke. This class is designed for students to increase their endurance for all strokes and learn the butterfly stroke. Flip turns and competitive starts will be introduced.
Porpoise Club (Ages 6 years-14 years)
Porpoise club is a precursor to swim team. Focuses on endurance and emphasizes all competitive strokes, start dives, and flip turns.
Swimmers will be split into groups by ability. Beginners and more advanced swimmers will build confidence in their swimming and learn proper stroke techniques.
Primary skill and stroke development. This class is for adults who are not comfortable in the water. Teaching floating, proper body position and learning to place face in the water
This class is designed for swimmers with limited swimming range. Rotary breathing and proper body technique are emphasized
We will be swimming with the grace and precision of dancers in this class! This class is a fantastic way to learn swim and dance techniques all in one. We will learn short synchronized swim routines in this fun filled class at the pool.
