Meet the Staff

Michelle Jackson
Camp Director
mjackson@oldcolonyymca.org

Michelle works year round at the Striar YMCA in the role of Program Director, where she focuses her efforts on camp, afterschool, child watch, family programs, and classes for children and youth.  Michelle's camp directing experience began in 2004 at the Striar JCC and has continued at the Striar site ever since.  She is excited for continued growth of the new YMCA Camp Stoughton.  Michelle is a graduate of Bowdoin College with a degree in Psychology.  Michelle grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts and was a YMCA camper herself.

 

Joe Leaver
Camp Assistant Director

Joe works year round at the Striar YMCA in the role of Program Coordinator, overseeing camp, birthday parties, basketball leagues, the youth and teen center and a variety of classes for children and youth.  Before coming to Striar in 2007, Joe worked as a volunteer basketball coach, lifeguard and swim instructor and Counselor at Sharon Community Education Summer Camp.  Joe is a graduate of Endicott College with a Degree in Sports Management.

 

Danielle Kucinski
Camp Program Director

Danielle works year round at the Striar YMCA as the Site Coordinator of the Afterschool Program in addition to being a teacher's assistant at the Lincoln Alternative School in Brockton.  Danielle was a childhood camper spending 13 years at Brantwood Camp in New Hampshire and also was the assistant Director of the Girls Division of the Camp before coming to Striar in 2006.  Danielle has a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

 

Jason Wheatley
Aquatics Director

Jason works year round at the Striar YMCA as the Aquatics Director managing the operations for both the indoor and outdoor pool and overseeing swim classes for individuals of all ages and abilities.  Before coming to Striar in 2008, Jason dedicated much of his time to teaching swim lessons at YMCAs in the Midwest and specialized in teaching elementary age students how to swim and dive.  Jason holds a degree in Fitness Management from Olivet College.
