KIDS LOVE THE FUN.
PARENTS LOVE THE SUMMER LEARNING.
Summer is a time of exploration, with critical out-of-school moments for youth to get active, learn new things, experience the outdoors, and discover who they are and what they can achieve.
And summer just wouldn't be the same without the excitement and adventure of Y Camp. For more than 95 years, Old Colony YMCA has been providing our youth with a camp experience unlike any other. Camp, like many Y programs, is a safe and nurturing place where children build self-esteem, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility for themselves and the world around them. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group.
At camp, we teach self-reliance, a love for nature, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character—all amidst the fun of theme days, arts & crafts, archery, talent shows, sports, and meaningful relationships.
We invite your family to become part of our camp family!

WHY THE Y - TOP 5
Our number 1 priority is the safety and welfare of all our campers. We are licensed by the local Department of Public Health and meet the highest standards in many areas including health, safety, personnel, and training. A Registered Nurse is on-site and we are staffed with caring people trained in safety, CPR, First Aid, and child development. From background checks to reference calls, and staff trainings to ongoing internal audits, our team’s main goal is to ensure each camper is cared for by exceptional role models.
Camp is the place to be in the summer for fun and excitement. One day campers will be hiking through the woods, the next they’ll be planning their own talent shows. There is something for every camper to enjoy with a wide variety of theme days, activity schedules, and special events.
Although campers may only be at camp for a short time, they will learn a tremendous amount about themselves and the world around them while in our care. We continue to add valuable and fun academic curriculum components to our daily activities that will help minimize summer learning loss and ensure that your child will learn, grow and thrive this summer.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE
Camp friends are like none other. Every summer provides campers with the opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with those from summers past.
The Old Colony Y has been offering day camp services for over 95 years. Our team of experts has over 50 years combined experience working year-round to plan the best camp experience for all our campers. Let us provide your child with one of the most iconic experiences of their youth!
OUR COMMITMENT TO A HEALTHY FUTURE
The YMCA is expanding its longtime commitment to children and youth by adopting a set of Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards (HEPA). These standards will build a healthier future for our nation’s children by providing healthy environments rich in opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity. The Y is one of the nation’s largest providers of childcare and afterschool programs. Now we want to be the healthiest.
