The Old Colony YMCA serves 31 communities in Southeastern Massachusetts with programs for all ages and abilities, designed to build healthy spirits, minds and bodies. Programs include fitness, after-school enrichment, summer camps, residential treatment for youth, senior wellness and more.  All activities stress positive values that enrich the individual, strengthen the family and enhance the quality of life for all members of the community.

We are one of the largest human service providers in southeastern Massachusetts, serving over 103,000 children and families each year.  Dedicated to supporting the development of each individual's healthy body, mind, and spirit, we provide services without regard to income, race, sex, religion, or physical ability.  Our 30,000 members visited our facilities over 540,000 times last year!

A Board of Directors and ten Branch Board of Governors (Volunteer Advisory Boards) provide direction to the YMCA’s core management group, comprised of:

Vincent J. Marturano, ACSW, President/Chief Executive Officer
Jeffrey Russell, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer
John Ricketts, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer
Kay Brodesky, Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Linda Deane, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Kenneth Klier, Senior Vice President, Social Services
Joanne Mathews, Senior Vice President, Program Development and Quality Assurance
Joyce Antine, Vice President, Association Advancement
Catherine DeTerra, Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Kimberly Driskell, Vice President, Controller
Thomas Dunse, Vice President, Clinical Services

The core management group oversees all operations of ten branches within Southeastern Massachusetts including Central, Youth, and Family Services Branches in Brockton; branches in the communities of East Bridgewater, Taunton, Middleboro, Easton, and Plymouth; more than 40 sites of the Child Care Branch; and the Social Services Branch.

The total employee population is approximately 1,400 professional, paraprofessional, and support personnel.  During the summer months, the employee force increases to nearly 1,500 due to the day camp programs and swimming programs at a number of community pools.

Services provided by the Old Colony Y include health/fitness/competitive sports programs, swimming instruction, youth asset building activities, leadership and character development training, childcare, after school programs, literacy training, tutoring, mentoring, and summer camping programs.  Our 40 childcare sites serve more than 2,100 children daily from all age groups, including infant/toddler/pre-school care, kindergarten programs, and after school care.

Because we believe in the value of each individual, no one is turned away because of his/her inability to pay. Scholarships are available through the generosity of thousands of donors and supporters who believe in our work and know that our community is a stronger, healthier place because of the Old Colony Y and its diverse programs.
